A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME
If we meet on an elevator you'll enjoy some fantastic small talk and probably walk away with a smile.
You know how they say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree? Well, I'm the spitting image of my mother and I act like her too. Fast-talking, quick-witted and the life of the party.

I work hard and I move fast. If I don't know something I'll tell you, I want to learn and improve. I crave constructive criticism. I believe doing is better than perfect, but I like to get as close to perfection as possible.

When all is said and done, I want to look back on my life and know I took chances and made a difference.

HOW I GOT HERE
Growing up in a Georgian Bay cottage, swimming and boating were my favourite pastimes. This led me to the local pool where I became a lifeguard and swimming instructor.
Following my passion for the written word, I studied English and Journalism. After graduating I found a job that married my background in aquatics with my education and from there an exciting career in digital media blossomed.

Digital media combines many things I love:
-
Making connections with people
-
Helping others
-
Telling a story
-
Being creative
-
It's never boring, no two days are the same
-
The only limits in digital media are those you put upon yourself
HOW I SPEND MY TIME
-
With family - laughing, talking, maybe enjoying a glass of wine.
-
Baking with my toddler - I'm brave like that.
-
Hurrying hard at the Whitby Curling Club with my husband.
-
Getting immersed in a story, be it podcast, tv show or book.
-
Learning and growing both personally and professionally.
-
Practicing guitar and trying my hand at sewing.
-
Teaching first aid and lifeguarding.
-
Snapping a photo, usually of my daughters or dog.

SOME OF MY TOP SKILLS
-
Developing effective, goal-oriented digital media strategies through internal staff consultations, on-going research and targeted data analysis to support and enhance marketing and communications efforts.
-
Creative thinking and the ability to develop fresh, new digital ideas to achieve organizational goals.
-
Telling compelling stories using digital metrics.
-
Leading and inspiring others by creating an open environment where new ideas are welcomed, and problems are faced head-on and resolved with tact and compassion.
-
Coaching staff by identifying opportunities, supporting growth and recognizing improvements and successes.
